BENJAMÍN TEJERINA is Professor of Sociology, Director of the consolidated research group “Social change, emerging forms of subjectivity and identity in contemporary society” [IT1469-22], a Type A consolidated research group of the Basque University System and Director of the Centre for Studies on Collective Identity at the University of the Basque Country-Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea.
His preferred research topics are social movements, precarity and transformations in work culture, sociology of language and ethno-linguistic movements, collective identity, sociology of youth, collaborative collective action, citizen science and sociological theory. He was Vice-President of the International Sociological Association (ISA) from 2014 to 2018.
