Clara Acuña Rodríguez

Graduate in Psychology from the University of Granada (UGR, 2017). Interested in the social field, she completed the Master in Psychology of Social Intervention at the University of Deusto in 2019, during which she made an academic stay at the University Luis Amigó (Medellin; Colombia), where she was introduced to intervention and community development work. Subsequently, she joined the world of work, working in various fields: mental health, education, career guidance, organisational psychology and the third sector.
Currently, and since 2021, she is a pre-doctoral researcher in training in the Department of Sociology and Social Work of the UPV/EHU, and a beneficiary of the Pre-doctoral Grants of the Pre-doctoral Programme for the Training of Non-Doctoral Research Staff of the Department of Education of the Basque Government. She is a member of the consolidated research group type A in the Basque university system [IT1469-22] Social change, emerging forms of subjectivity and identity in contemporary societies. Her doctoral project deals with the management of unemployment and employability, linked to the construction of new labour subjectivities. Her research interests focus on the Sociology of Work, Social Psychology, Critical Psychology and Cultural Studies, from a qualitative perspective.
