Diego Carbajo

Diego Carbajo is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of the Basque Country through the Basque Government’s Doctoral Research Staff Development Programme 2017. He belongs to the consolidated research group “Social change, precariousness and identity in contemporary society” and is currently developing his postdoctoral project on the global grammars of entrepreneurship at RMIT University in Australia.
Lately, he has taught different subjects in the Dept. of Sociology 2 and in the Dept. of Social Sciences Didactics. She defended his doctoral thesis in 2014, with which he obtained the second prize of the Basque Social Reality Award granted by the Lehendakaritza of the Basque Government.
His official line of research articulates the concepts of youth, space and precariousness and takes the form of research into contemporary residential transitions (2014), the phenomenon of the lonjas and youth premises (2012) and the squatting movement (2007). He has a second line of research (intermittent and underfunded) in which he tries to force the limits of enunciation of Sociology and from which more experimental works are derived around ANT, the analysis of some artistic productions or the new uses and meanings of the Zamorano-Leonese donkey.
